I have recently had a small career change.
I am now moonlighting as a professional celebrity spotter. Specifically celebrities that Christine is OBSESSED with. Which makes it all the more hilarious.
Here are a few recent spottings:
JACK BAUER.... yep that's right. Keifer Sutherland himself. At the stage door of a play he was doing in New York. I ran across the street like a nut to get these precious gems. Yep literally 3 feet from Jack. I wanted to say.. "Will you say "Mr. President, this is Jack Bauer" but I didn't....
This is how close I was... Btack I know you are freaking out
MR. BIG... oh yeah. He came out of the stage door from the same play with JACK BAUER about 5 minutes later in NYC. I didn't get a photo, but I did see his smiling face. All I thought was where is Carrie?
ROBERT PLANT.... and no I did not figure this one out on my own. I overheard the security guys at the airport saying it was him, but yes I was in the security line at DIA with him, on the tram. For those of you who don't know who he is... Robert Plant was one of the main guys in Led Zepplin
ED... as in ED & JILLIAN from the Bachelorette. This spotting was at a bar in Chicago a few weeks ago. He was tanned, in a hoodie and spikin' some hair with that gel. Not the coolest dude. With a big posse of guys who all thought they were amazing. However, he was about 2 feet from me as I was dancing with my friends (bachelorette weekend) and some girls were chatting him up.
SIDE NOTE: Christine is OBSESSED with 24 aka Jack Bauer, loves music so Robert Plant is a given - she said " you were in the presence of a legend", and was OBSESSED with Jillian and Ed.
I honestly thought my chances of seeing Oprah in Chicago were pretty high mostly because that would be Christine's #1 and well I was kind of checking off her list...

Cinco De Mayo!!!
I totally forgot it was Cinco de Mayo until this morning when I read Lindsay's blog post. BTW she mentioned her heavenly queso dip and I almost started drooling at my desk at 9 am craving it.
I love Mexican food and Mexican holidays so my week just got a whole lot better...
I'm thinking combine a little bit of this...
And some of this....
Wash it down with this...
While wearing this....
Aka the greatest halloween costume in the word that I made and want to wear everyday!

Easter Weekend
Ten years later... a new blog post!
I have been super busy at work, hence the no posting.
But, this past weekend was wonderful.... I did nothing. Stayed in and relaxed. And ate A LOT. I never expected Easter to be a holiday where you gain weight but oh well. I guess a bag of jellybeans, cookies, and and easter basket of skittles will do that to you!
This weekend I got the urge to cook/bake some goodies.
Friday - Thomas and I cooked out and due to my stubbornness we ended up getting a pound of meat for grilling burgers. Apparently this is too much, but it was Friday at like 7 when we went to the grocery store and I was tired. So here is the biggest burger in the world.... but they were good! With bacon and cheese of course!
Also, on Friday I wanted something sweat so I made red velvet brownies with cream cheese icing courtesy of How Sweet It Is
Here's how mine came out....
They were a little heavy, but all in all delicious!
Then for Sunday morning Easter Brunch I made Paula Deens' Baked French Toast Casserole.
A whole loaf of bread....
And here's the finished product...
Quite delicious!
With our Easter lilly from church and little Easter tree!

Holy Cow... SVH
Sweet Valley High = obsession. I read them all. I loved them all.
Word on the street is that they hate each other now??? How is that possible.
Even though it's gotten HORRIBLE reviews...this quote really says it all...
"For young women eager to get lost in the world they once loved, however, bad reviews don't matter."

Hello my name is Robin and I'm a Shopaholic
This was me this past weekend.
INAPPROPRIATE.
I was on a drug and it was called "SALE" and "30% off of your entire purchase".
I bought 3 (THREE!) Pinkish/Red cocktail dresses. I have not really ever worn pink in my life, but spring has entered and taken over my body. This blog describes exactly how I feel about pinks right now: A Spot of Whimsy
This makes me smile
As does this:
I will post pics of the finds later. I will not look at my exhausted credit card bill until later as well.
Any one else been insanely over shopping at the thought of spring clothes?

Please vote
My insane indecisiveness is taking over my life.
Please pick 1 or 2 dresses for upcoming weddings.
I literally have no ability to make decisions.
Watch out there's like 10 dresses below...
Cynthia Steffe
Laila
Shoshanna
Lilly
Asos
Shoshanna
Lily... I might look like a circus tent in this one??
Tibi

This one is not for real. Maybe I've been reading too much of the Man Repeller, but this dress is horrible. I looked at it and saw two big X's on to certain areas.

Finally!
I have been watching this little shirt from Anthro like a hawk because everything there eventually goes on sale. The picture does not do it justice. The colors are gorgeous and bold and it's a perfect little boxy shirt.
